Is there a limit to what doctors can do on SASAdoctor?

SASAdoctor is not intended for medical emergencies. If you believe you are experiencing an emergency, please visit the nearest hospital.

Can I use SASAdoctor when I am out of the country?

Yes. SASAdoctor services are available as long as you have the SASAdoctor App downloaded on your smart phone. Please note, Kenyan Licensed Physicians can only provide limited services for non-Kenyan residents and visitors.

How do I get the SASAdoctor medications prescribed?

Our physicians can prescribe medications online during your consultation. Your prescription will be on your SASAdoctor Mobile App. Once you accept a prescription, you will have the option to pick it up from a pharmacy of your choice or we can recommend a pharmacy. You can also upload your prescription for delivery if within our covered region.

Are SASAdoctor services covered by Insurance Companies? If so, which ones?

What range of conditions can SASAdoctor diagnose and treat online?

How does the SASAdoctor referral system work?

Referrals notes are pushed through the app and you can download, print, and present them at a medical facility of your choice or any of our partners. We offer physical referrals to our partners in several regions. The referrals range from a physical check up to a specialist’s investigation. We are also in partnership with major laboratory companies who can pick up test samples from wherever you are.

How do I register as a doctor for SASAdoctor?

To register as a doctor, you need to scan and send your original documents to You should then download the SASAdoctor Android Patient App and register as a doctor. Attach your certificates, Personal indemnity, copies of your identification documents, current practicing license and certificate of registration.

Where are SASAdoctor offices located?

SASAdoctor combines the technology of virtual consultation and physical clinics to deliver healthcare. You can access our services from anywhere, at any time as long as you have smart phone that has the SASAdoctor APP. We have 3 physical clinics. One is in Westlands, Waumini House 5th floor, the other one in Kariobangi Cooperative Bank building, Nakuru and Kakamega.

How do I edit my details or my photo?

For security reasons, you can only edit items that cannot compromise your account. To edit your details, go the ‘APP’s MENU’ and select ‘SETTINGS’. Click on the ‘PROFILE’, Click the pencil on the top right. Kindly contact us via +254 700 011 226 for further assistance.

What if I forget my SASAdoctor password?

If you forget your password, launch the SASAdoctor app and click on ‘Forgot Password’. A tab will pop up requesting for the number you registered with SASAdoctor. Fill the correct number and submit. You will receive an OTP (One-Time-Password) on your phone. Verify and reset your password with a PASSWORD that you can easily remember.

What happens if medication delivery is delayed?

Our Turn Around Time is around 4 hours. If you are experiencing delays longer than this, kindly contact us via +254 700 011 226.

Where in Kenya do you deliver medicine? Is delivered done for FREE?

Medications are delivered FREE of charge within five Kilometers of the designated centers. Any additional kilometer is charged KES 50/= per Kilometer. If you are far from a major centre, you will be advised accordingly if courier charges are available.

How do I upload lab results using the SASAdoctor APP?

On the app’s menu, select ‘Personal Medical Record’. Go to ‘Investigations’. Select ‘Results’. Click on “+” and upload your lab results.

How do I order medication NOT prescribed by SASAdoctor?

On the app’s menu, select ‘Order Now’. On the top right click on the small arrow pointing upwards. Select the person uploading the order and fill in the prompts. Once done submit and you will be notified if successful.

How do I order medication prescribed by SASAdoctor?

On the app’s menu, select ‘Order Now’. Under “Consultation” select the doctor who prescribed your medication and select the drugs or lab requisition. Click on “Order Now”. Select the location of pharmacy or lab and ‘ÇONTINUE’. Click on the placed order and ÇONTINUE’. Select whether to pick up or to be dropped at and ‘Add to Cart’. Select the doctor and ‘Continue to Checkout’. Select mode of payments and you will be notified when your order has been successfully placed.

If I get an error “Policy records not found” on the SASAdoctor APP, what can I do?

If you encounter difficulties with verifying insurance with prompts like ‘Policy records not found’, first establish whether your insurer has fully integrated with us or you are using coupons. Secondly ensure your details on the SASAdoctor app match the ones on your smart card, i.e date of birth, gender, your two names, etc. Also ensure you put in the correct member number. If the problem persists, kindly contact your insurer.

How do I use my insurance cover using the SASAdoctor APP?

On the App’s menu, select Insurance. Select the person whose details are to be verified. Ensure the details on your smart card match the ones registered on SASAdoctor. Once done, verify and use the App for consultations and other services. If you experience problems, kindly contact your insurer to verify the details.

How do I use a coupon?

When you choose the doctor of your choice or ‘FIRST AVAILABLE’ option, the SASAdoctor APP will take you to the payment section. Input the coupon provided at the ‘Enter the coupon here‘ textbox and press ÁPPLY’.

I was disconnected during a session. What can I do?

If you are disconnected during a session, go back, and click on the APP’s menu and select ‘APPOINTMENTS’. On ‘UPCOMING APPOINTMENTS’, you will find a ‘PENDING APPOINTMENT’. Kindly click on ‘Start Now’ and you will be connected to the same doctor.

What services does SASAdoctor offer?

SASAdoctor offers virtual medical consultations via the SASAdoctor APP. Patients consult with our doctors via live video conference. Through our pharmacy located in Westlands, Waumini House 5th floor, patients can get their medication (prescribed by our doctors or your doctor uploaded by you on the App) delivered to their office or home. SASAdoctor also offers laboratory and diagnostic services as well as physical consultation via it’s branches and partner clinics.

How do I access SASAdoctor services?

Using your smart phone’s Apple App store or Google Play store, search SASAdoctor and download the App. Register, verify your profile and you can start enjoying our services. You can also visit any of our branches in Nairobi, Kakamega and Nakuru.

How do I add dependents onto my SASAdoctor plan?

Use the ‘ÁDD FAMILY’ tab on the APP. When you click on the tab, you can add the details of your dependents.

How do I pay for SASAdoctor services?

You can pay for SASAdoctor services using your Insurance Cover, MPESA or Credit Card/ Debit Card. If you are on our subscription program, you will not have to make a payment. Just click on the SUBSCRIPTION option.

How do I schedule a SASAdoctor appointment?

Using the SASAdoctor App, click on ‘SEE DOCTOR NOW’. Select the doctor of your choice and click on ‘SCHEDULE’. Choose the date and time and log in at the set time. At your SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT time, log in and go to the APPS menu and select APPOINTMENETS. On upcoming appointments, you will find a pending appointment. kindly click on ‘START NOW’ and wait to connect with your doctor.

The SASAdoctor App is giving me a facial recognition failure prompt. What do I do?
